Nail Technician

Tuition and Expenses

No tuition for high school students. Adult students pay standard rate of $900.00 per semester for full-time or $450.00 per semester for part-time. Evening adult students pay $720 per semester and $336 for the summer semester.


Please note that Francis Tuttle does not offer Cosmetology Board Review hours.


Students are required to purchase a pair of black scrub pants. No jeans, jogging pants, athletic pants, or leggings are allowed.

Rockwell students are required to purchase plain white Hanes t-shirts (package of 3, approximately $10). Reno students are required to purchase t-shirts from the Administration office (cost is approximately $6-$7 depending on the size).

No sleeveless shirts are allowed.

Students are also required to wear solid black professional shoes. Shoes must have full coverage on the top of the shoes and must have a smooth, solid surface which is able to be wiped clean.

Dress shoes, high heels, canvas shoes, open-toed shoes, or multi-colored shoes are not allowed.

Students are required to wear a smock in a style selected by the instructor. The school will purchase the smock for high school students. Adult students are required to purchase their own smock ($16.00 - $18.00 depending on size).


Students should also be prepared to purchase the following items:


Nail kit: High school students - $54.00; Adult students - $108.00

Nail Technician textbook - $63.00 (required for adult students, optional for high school students.)

State Board Registration - $5.00

Upon completion of their career major, students will need a $15 money order for the State Board Exam registration.


A $15.00 non-refundable application fee is required for completion of an adult application for admission to a career training program at Francis Tuttle.


Only the Nail Technician career major is eligible for Financial Aid.
