The Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance is a not-for-profit organization which provides strategic assistance to Oklahoma manufacturers, promoting growth of the state's economy. Manufacturing Extension Agent Kevin Barber partners with Francis Tuttle Technology Center, the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST), and others to provide manufacturers a full range of services, including training, technical assistance, business advice, and access to financial incentives.
Kevin worked in manufacturing over 15 years in both electromechanical assembly and testing and continuous production environments. His experience is manufacturing includes manufacturing engineering technology, supply chain management, customer service, and leadership, and he is a Six Sigma Green Belt and ISO Internal Auditor. He previously worked as an Industrial Coordinator for Francis Tuttle, providing custom training solutions to businesses. He describes the transition to his current role as a "no-brainer." "I grew up in manufacturing, I love education, and I have a passion for driving economic growth. By partnering with Francis Tuttle and other organizations to help manufacturers get the support they need, I drive economic growth, and all of that together means that I have the perfect job!"
