The Learning Center is an academic support center for students at Francis Tuttle. The Center offers
- Individualized tutoring in academic skills
- Study skills
- GED test preparation
- Assistance with technical program curriculum
Group classes are offered in business English, grammar and written correspondence.
The Learning Center also offers workshops tailored to meet your needs in areas from test taking to organization skills. Other assistance includes:
- ACT/SAT preparation
- Assistance with résumé development
- English as a second language support
Instruction is provided through
- Hands-on activities
- Computer-assisted instruction
- Written exercises
- Oral discussions and reviews
- Videos
- Teacher-made adapted materials
For prospective Francis Tuttle students, The Learning Center offers a confidential pre-assessment examination to determine test readiness. If remediation is needed, The Learning Center can assist you in reading, writing and math.
Locations
The Learning Center is located on the
Rockwell Campus in the Academic Center and at the
Portland Campus on the second floor by the Commons area.
Hours of Operation
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
