Admissions Requirements
If you are a high school student attending one of the following partner school districts or are a home school student residing within the Francis Tuttle school district, you may attend tuition-free
  • Crescent
  • Deer Creek
  • Edmond
  • Millwood
  • Putnam City
  • Western Heights

High School Students

To be considered for admission, you should be
  • At least sixteen years of age at or within the first few months of the beginning of classes (except Biosciences and Medicine Academy and Pre-Engineering Academy applicants)
  • Classified as a high school junior or senior at the time classes begin and be currently enrolled in a high school served by Francis Tuttle
  • If you will be classified as a sophomore at the time classes begin, you may apply to the Biosciences and Medicine Academy or Pre-Engineering Academy.
  • Items considered for admission into a program include your:
  • High school grades
  • Test scores
  • Attendance (indicated by your school records)
  • Occupational interest
  • Application answers
  • Personal interview

Home School Students

To be considered for admission, you should
  • Be a resident of Francis Tuttle School district
  • Be at least sixteen years of age on or before Nov. 1 (except Biosciences and Medicine Academy and Pre-Engineering Academy applicants)
  • Meet all the prerequisites of the program for which you apply
  • Provide results from at least one of the following Achievement Tests:
    • MAT (Minnesota Achievement Test)
    • ITBS (Iowa Test of Basic Skills)
    • SRA (Science Research Associates)
    • Gates-McGinitie
    • PSAT/PACT or SAT/ACT (Pre-Scholastic Achievement Test/Pre-American College Test, Scholastic Achievement Test/American College Test)
    • Nelson-Denny
    • Woodcock-Johnson
    • KETA (Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement)
    • TABE - Levels 7 & 8 (Test of Adult Basic Education)
  • Other Test Results Considered:
    • Otis-Lennon
    • ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery)
    • GATB (General Aptitude Testing Battery)
    • CDMS (Career Decision Making Survey)
    • CAPS/COPS (Career Ability Placement Survey/Career Occupational Preferences System

    Note: Test must have been administered within the last two years.
  • Items also considered for admission into a program include your:
    • High school grades
    • Test scores
    • Occupational interest
    • Application answers
    • Personal interview

Adult/Postsecondary Students

To be considered for admission, you should
  • Possess either a high school diploma or GED certificate. If you have less than a high school equivalency, you must meet with an advisor in the Career Planning Center
  • Provide acceptable admission test scores (as appropriate)

    Accepted tests include:
    • TABE - Levels 7 & 8 (Test of Adult Basic Education) 
    • ACT (American College Test) - will accept results less than five years old
    • SAT (Scholastic Achievement Test) - will accept results less than five years old
    • Compass (administered at the Francis Tuttle Rockwell Campus on selected dates or by appointment or may submit scores less than two years old to the appropriate advisor)

  • If you are applying for college co-enrollment, and you are under the age of 21, you must have an ACT or Compass Test score
